How do I book for a month or longer?+
The easiest way is to book directly with us — send a booking request through the form below with your dates and we'll confirm within 24 hours. For stays of 28+ nights, Airbnb automatically applies a 40% discount (10% for 7+ nights). Direct bookings skip the platform's guest service fee on top of that.
What's the WiFi situation for remote work?+
High-speed internet with speeds well above what you need for video calls, large file uploads, or multiple devices. We've had guests work full-time remote from the studio for weeks without issue. There's a glass-top desk that works fine for a laptop setup.
Is a mid-stay cleaning included?+
Mid-stay cleanings are available on request at $150 per cleaning — fresh linens, towels, and a full clean. Just let us know when you book and we'll schedule it around your stay.
Is the kitchen actually usable for daily cooking?+
Yes — full-size refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, cookware, utensils, and a coffee maker. Safeway, Raley's, and SaveMart are 10–15 minutes away. For a month-long stay, cooking in for most meals is easy and makes a real difference on overall trip cost.
What's the minimum stay?+
Two nights for standard bookings. For monthly stays, we typically ask for a 28-night minimum to qualify for the long-term discount. Reach out before booking and we can confirm availability and pricing for your specific dates.
Is it good for ski season — a full month in January or February?+
That's one of the most popular use cases. Palisades Tahoe is ½ mile away and the free Mountaineer Shuttle picks up at the address in winter. A full month lets you ski as many days as you want without watching a clock. Presidents' Day month and holiday periods book early — reserve several months out.
Are utilities included in the monthly rate?+
Yes — electricity, heat, water, and high-speed WiFi are all included. No separate utility bills, no end-of-month surprises. The rate you book is the rate you pay, plus the $150 cleaning fee.
What about the security deposit and payment terms for longer stays?+
For direct bookings: 50% deposit secures the dates, with the balance due 60 days before check-in. $500 refundable security deposit. For stays booked through Airbnb, their standard long-term payment terms apply. We confirm within 24 hours of any direct inquiry.
