How wedding parties run the weekend from here
The flow most groups settle into when the cabin is home base.
Thursday evening
Wedding party arrives. Unpack, decompress, walk to dinner in the Village. Top and bottom floors give the group natural separation when anyone needs quiet.
Friday morning
Slow coffee in the kitchen on the middle floor. Run last-minute errands in Tahoe City (10 min) or Truckee (15 min). Hair and makeup trial in whichever bedroom you've picked as the getting-ready room.
Friday evening
Host the rehearsal dinner around the cabin's dining table, or walk to a restaurant in the Village. No driving means no designated drivers.
Saturday — wedding day
Get ready at the cabin, then caravan to the ceremony — most Olympic Valley venues are under 5 minutes away.
Sunday morning
Family brunch in the cabin. Open the deck doors, fire up the grill in summer or the fireplace in winter. Slow goodbye before everyone scatters.
Built for a wedding party, not a single hotel room
Eight people who all need somewhere to sleep, get ready, and gather. A whole cabin solves that in one booking.

Dining table for the anchor meal
Host the rehearsal dinner around the table, or do a Sunday post-wedding brunch before everyone scatters. The kitchen handles either.
Two masters, two twin rooms
Top and bottom floors each have a queen master plus a twin-bed room. Two queens, two twin rooms, 8 beds total.
Kitchen for one anchor meal
Middle-floor kitchen, breakfast bar seats 3, dining table for the bigger group. Rehearsal dinner or Sunday brunch — pick one.
Parking for vendors and guests
Three on-property spots. Florists, hair and makeup, and rental SUVs can stage from here.
Middle floor as the common room
Living room large enough for a hair-and-makeup setup. Sleeping floors stay quiet for anyone resting.

Questions
Palisades Tahoe wedding lodging — quick questions
What couples and parents ask before booking the cabin for the weekend.
Which Olympic Valley wedding venues is the cabin closest to?+
Just about all of them. The cabin sits half a mile from the heart of Olympic Valley, which puts it within 5 minutes of Squaw Valley Stables, Everline Resort & Spa (formerly The Resort at Squaw Creek), the Palisades Tahoe Aerial Tram (for High Camp ceremonies), PlumpJack Inn, and the Village at Palisades Tahoe. For most local weddings, the cabin is a 1–5 minute drive from the ceremony.
Can the wedding party — bride or groom plus family — all stay here?+
Yes. The cabin sleeps 8 across 4 bedrooms on 3 floors. The top floor has one master bedroom (queen) plus a second bedroom with two single beds. The bottom floor has the same layout — one master (queen) plus a twin room. The middle floor is shared living space: living room, dining room, and kitchen. Two full bathrooms total. How you split the rooms is up to your group.
Is the kitchen big enough to host a rehearsal dinner or family brunch?+
Yes — for one big group meal. The kitchen is on the middle floor with a breakfast bar that seats 3 plus a separate dining table. Most wedding parties use it for one anchor meal (rehearsal dinner or post-wedding brunch) and walk to the Village for the others.
Can vendors deliver here (florist, caterer, hair and makeup)?+
Yes. There's a 3-car driveway with easy access. Hair and makeup teams have used the primary bedroom and living room as a getting-ready space. Florists and rental companies typically use the cabin as a vendor staging point before moving to the ceremony venue.
How early should I book for a Palisades Tahoe wedding weekend?+
Most wedding parties book the cabin 4 to 6 months ahead. Olympic Valley wedding weekends (May through October peak) require Friday–Sunday holds, and the inventory closest to the Village fills first. If you've already booked your venue, lining up the cabin in the same window is the safest play.
What about lodging for our wedding guests?+
For couples and individual guests attending the wedding, we also operate a private studio next door — same property, separate entrance, sleeps 2. It's a comfortable option for an aunt-and-uncle or a couple of friends. For larger guest groups, the Village hotels (Palisades Lodge, PlumpJack Inn, Everline Resort) and other 1–2 bedroom rentals in the valley are within walking distance.
Can we host an after-party at the cabin?+
Small, quiet gatherings are fine. The cabin is in a residential neighborhood with a strict 10 PM quiet hours rule per Placer County short-term rental code (Permit #STR21-81004). Maximum occupancy is 8 — additional guests beyond that aren't permitted on-site. Most wedding parties hold the after-party at the Village or at the ceremony venue.
Is the cabin a wedding venue itself?+
No. The cabin is residential lodging, not a licensed event venue, so we don't host ceremonies or receptions on the property. We're the wedding-party basecamp — the place you sleep, get ready, and gather as a family — while the ceremony and reception happen at one of the dedicated venues in Olympic Valley.
