Built for actual work, not just "WiFi available."
Most vacation rentals list WiFi as an amenity the same way they list a microwave. This studio is different. Guests have run full-time remote jobs from here — daily standups, client calls, large file transfers — without issue.
There's a glass-top desk you can work from — fine for a laptop setup. The studio has its own private entrance separate from the adjoining cabin — you're not sharing a common area or entryway. It's a comfortable place to get work done.
High-speed WiFi
Fast enough for video calls, uploads, multiple devices. Not hotel WiFi — a dedicated residential connection.
Work table
A glass-top desk — works well for a laptop. Private entrance means video calls aren't a problem.
Private entrance
Your own front door, separate from the adjoining cabin. No shared lobby or entryway.
Coffee maker
Stocked and ready. Start the morning without hunting for a café.

The 9-to-5 is yours. The rest is Tahoe.
Palisades Tahoe is ½ mile away. In winter, the free Mountaineer Shuttle picks up right at the address — ski from 9 to 2, back at the desk by 3. In summer, hiking trails and mountain biking start right outside, Lake Tahoe is 20 minutes, and the Truckee River bike path is nearby.
Olympic Valley is quieter than it looks. It's not a crowded tourist town. Safeway, Raley's, and SaveMart are 10–15 minutes away, and everything you need is a short drive. It's a place you can actually settle into for a week or a month.

Remote work questions
What guests ask before booking a workation stay.
Is the WiFi actually fast enough for full-time remote work?+
Yes. High-speed internet with speeds well above what you need for video calls, large uploads, and multiple devices running simultaneously. Guests have worked full-time remote from the studio for weeks without connectivity issues. It's not hotel WiFi — it's a dedicated residential connection.
What's the workspace setup like?+
There's a table you can work from — it's a glass-top desk, so not a heavy executive setup, but it works well for a laptop and monitor. The WiFi is solid and the studio is private, so video calls aren't a problem.
How long can I stay?+
Minimum two nights. For remote work stays, most guests book a week or more. Stays of 7+ nights get a 10% discount automatically on Airbnb. 28+ nights get 40% off. Request direct dates and also skip the guest service fee on top of that.
What are the quiet hours?+
The studio is in Olympic Valley, which is a quiet residential area — not a busy tourist strip. It has its own private entrance separate from the adjoining cabin, so you're not sharing a common area or entryway. Good for focused work and early mornings.
Is the kitchen usable for daily cooking?+
Full-size refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, cookware, utensils, and a coffee maker. Safeway, Raley's, and SaveMart are 10–15 minutes away. For a week-long or month-long stay, cooking in for most meals is easy and saves a significant amount compared to eating out in Tahoe every day.
What do you do after work?+
In winter, Palisades Tahoe is ½ mile away with the free Mountaineer Shuttle at the address — ski from 9 to 3, back at the desk by 4. In summer, hiking trails start right outside, Lake Tahoe is 20 minutes, and the Truckee River bike path is nearby. It's a genuinely good place to decompress after a long call.
Can I book directly instead of through Airbnb or VRBO?+
Yes — same nightly rate, same studio, but you skip the platform service fee. There's a $150 cleaning fee regardless of stay length. Send a booking request through the form below and we confirm within 24 hours.
